Institution of the Natural Medicine with Sanatorium Leliwa in Rymanów-Zdrój
This work deals with the revitalisation of spa villages from the 19th and 20th centuries. What I met there was a 100-year-old ruin after a wooden sanatorium. After studying the history of the local spa town and their architecture, I came up with how to revitalize this kind of building. My answer is to rebuild the leliwa villa while maintaining its representative character, rich in detail, without historicizing it through the use of contemporary elements of architecture. A function of the sanatorium on the 83-acre plot is insufficient for the profitability of such facilities. So we extend the spa's offer with the missing functions of a natural therapy facility, all in a contrasting form that fits in the slope surrounding the villas.
